To aid rebuilding efforts after the severe typhoon in Vietnam, Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions in Vietnam donated 100 million VND (3,700 Euro).
Asslar, November 27, 2024 – Typhoon Yagi, one of the most powerful storms in the past 30 years, struck Vietnam in September 2024, bringing widespread destruction to the country. With a donation of 100 million VND (3,700 Euro) to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions’ site in Vietnam is supporting the heavily affected communities.
With wind speeds reaching up to 149 km/h, Typhoon Yagi destroyed parts of Vietnam’s northern and central regions, leaving extensive damage in its wake. The storm had already left a path of destruction in the Philippines and southern China before making landfall in Vietnam, affecting millions.
The donation to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee – specifically directed to Di An City and Binh Duong Province, where Pfeiffer’s site is located – aims to provide immediate aid and support for rebuilding efforts in the storm-ravaged areas. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is an umbrella group of Vietnam’s political parties. One of its tasks is to implement many of the government’s social programs. Pfeiffer’s commitment to its social responsibility as a member of the local community was met with deep appreciation from the Committee, which formally recognized the company’s contribution in official letters of gratitude.
