In March, Pfeiffer Vacuum made a donation of 50,000 euros to the "Help for Ukraine" campaign to support people afflicted as a consequence of the war being waged in their country. This program of aid is being undertaken by a private initiative in cooperation with the Lions Club Wetzlar-Solms. The donations that are received are used to support hospitals and medical care facilities in Ukraine by making deliveries of relief supplies. In this way, desperately needed medical supplies, including materials for emergency treatment and wound care, as well as infusions and infusion solutions, medications for pain treatment, anesthetics and antibiotics, have already been transported to a hospital in Lviv, and from there will be allocated to other regions of Ukraine, based on where the supplies are needed and what transport options are available.

In April, a donation of 50,000 euros was made to the Essen University Medicine Foundation. This money enabled additional aid to be delivered in the form of medical supplies that are indispensable for ensuring that patients are cared for in Ukrainian hospitals. By remaining in close communication with doctors in Ukraine, the Essen University Medicine Foundation ensures that shipments of aid reflect precisely what is needed on the ground.

In July, Pfeiffer Vacuum agreed to support the French aid organization Pompiers Humanitaires Solidaires (PHS). Since the beginning of the war, PHS, working together with other French NGOs, organized three aid convoys to deliver urgently needed medical and humanitarian aid straight to the Ukrainian people. The last of these convoys arrived at the end of May, and preparations for new shipments of supplies are currently underway. Pfeiffer Vacuum will be contributing to the upcoming convoys with a donation of 50,000 euros.

Dr. Britta Giesen, Chief Executive Officer of Pfeiffer Vacuum: "By making these donations, we are showing our support to the people of Ukraine who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves in this unfortunate situation of need and are depending on our help. It is important for us to maintain our support for the Ukrainian people over an extended period of time. The longer the war lasts, the more help is needed. As a successful company, we naturally see it as our social responsibility to contribute our part to this help."
